KRONOS - Advanced & versatile technology at the touch of a button
Aachen. Following the requirements of the European Ecodesign Directive, which will come into force on 1 January 2023, GYS has developed the new product range of INVERTER MULTIPROCESS MIG/MAG welding power sources. The current KRONOS models (single-phase/three-phase) meet not only the needs of welding professionals but also the high requirements of European eco-design standards in terms of optimised energy efficiency.
The intuitively designed user interface and the stored welding characteristic curves are oriented towards the requirements of welding professionals and have been optimised to ensure excellent, reproducible welding results with the highest possible efficiency.
The KRONOS series with welding capacities from 250 A to 400 A (depending on the model) are suitable as synergically controlled multi-process power sources, depending on the configuration, for use in smaller locksmith work, maintenance, construction and steel & metal construction. Characteristic arc characteristics and duty cycles have been adapted to a wide range of welding applications and designs using the latest inverter technology.
The KRONOS models range from gas- or water-cooled, compact power sources with integrated wire feed (4-R) to those with a separate wire feed case and the 400T DUO model, which can be equipped with two different welding consumables on separate feed units.
The compact KRONOS 400T DUO can be extended with an additional separate wire feed case via an intermediate hose package without any further modifications. This gives the user the option of keeping 2 torches with different welding consumables on the machine and changing the application within seconds.
